Credit Transfer refers to the formal recognition of units of competency or qualifications that you have previously achieved through any Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia. If you have already completed a unit identical or equivalent to one included in your training plan for RII50120 Diploma of surface operations management, you may be eligible to apply for a credit transfer. To do so, you’ll need to provide:

  • Valid Evidence – A statement of attainment or official transcript showing the unit code and title (this may include you USI Transcript).
  • Proof of Equivalency – The unit must match or be recognised as equivalent to the one in the course, as determined by current training package rules.

If approved, you will not need to repeat training or assessment for that particular unit, potentially reducing your overall study load and completion timeframe. If you have any questions regarding the credit transfer process, our team will be happy to provide guidance and support.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal process that assesses the skills, knowledge, and experience you’ve acquired through work, training, or life experience against the requirements of a specific unit of competency. If you can demonstrate that you already possess the competencies outlined in the unit, you may be granted RPL, which can reduce the time involved in completing the course.

Mine Training Solutions has adopted a 6 step RPL assessment process.  To apply for RPL, please contact Mine Training Solutions. Our RPL system is integrated into aXcelerate, a user-friendly platform that makes it easy for you to provide your details, showcase your knowledge, and upload relevant evidence related to the program you are applying for.

At Mine Training Solutions, workplace-based learning is designed to integrate seamlessly with your daily operations, ensuring that training enhances rather than disrupts your workflow.  Our workplace base approach allows participants to apply, implement and maintain the company-specific SHMS in real-time, fostering immediate practical understanding and reinforcing learning through actual job tasks.

The Mine Training Solutions workplace activities will require third parties (senior and statutory position holders (content experts) to verify practical skill demonstration for set activities and provide feedback on what was observed when the candidate performed the set work tasks.  Feedback from third parties is an important part of our assessment process.  Our ‘Third Parties’ are people who are competent in the task candidates are asked to carry out and provide mentoring, guidance and feedback.  The use of third parties promotes communication and consultation in the mining industry, which is fundamental for the application, implementation and maintenance of the mine’s Safety and Health Management System.

Our flexible scheduling accommodates shift work and varying team schedules, ensuring that all relevant personnel can participate without compromising productivity.  Learning in the workplace promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members, strengthening your organisation’s safety culture and operational resilience. By choosing workplace-based training with Mine Training Solutions, you ensure that your team gains relevant, actionable skills that directly contribute to a safer and more efficient mining operation.
