Biography

Kara is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mine Training Solutions, bringing more than 24 years of experience in the resource industry, with expertise in surface coal mining. Throughout her career, she has played a leading role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health management systems across mining operations, ensuring high standards of compliance, performance, and operational excellence.

Kara is also highly regarded for her work in developing comprehensive training schemes and supporting training and assessment frameworks for surface mines. Since 2018, she has been actively involved in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, where she continues to contribute to industry capability development.

Before founding Mine Training Solutions, Kara worked as a specialist consultant, supporting clients across coal, exploration, gold, and quarry operations in the design and rollout of safety and health management system initiatives.

Driven by a commitment to industry improvement and workforce development, Kara brings a practical, standards-focused approach to every project she leads.
